Stairs metaphorical & physical
INTRO
We use them all the time and take very little notice of them but staircases are much more than purely utilitarian features to get us from one level to another. They can be seen and have been seen as metaphorical references to the ups and downs of a life lived either passively or intentionally.
The aim of the project is to show people that there is not only one way going to the top, it could be a different way to go down and sometimes people see one top in a different way or sometimes even the top is not only one.
The staircase is designed to be an outdoor attraction, with the ability to be seen as from the outside, as well from the inside, where the observer will find artistic graffiti.
